The origin of Blackjack is somewhat unclear. If your first two cards total 21, you have Blackjack and win 3:2 odds on your bet automatically unless the dealer draws Blackjack as well causing a tie or a "Push." In the case of a tie, no money is won or lost. An Ace can count as either 1 or 11. Insurance - is offered to the players if the dealer's up card is an Ace, to protect against a dealers Black Jack.
