Casino Blackjack Rules

In 1931, Nevada re-legalized casino gambling where BlackJack became one of the primary games of chance offered to gamblers. Once all bets are down the dealer will deal two cards, one at a time, from left to right until both the players and dealer has two cards. In a shoe game the cards are dealt face up and you shouldn't touch the cards. In face down card games you can pick up the cards but you must not use more than one hand to pick them up. The object of the game is to obtain a hand of cards totaling up to 21 or as close to 21 as possible without going over. Starting to the dealer's left side, the cards are dealt in a round one at a time to each player ending with the dealer receiving his second card face down. Depending on the game, the player's are either dealt their cards face up or face down. Each card in Blackjack has a certain value. Card between 2 and 10 simply have their face value regardless of suit. If your first two cards total 21, you have Blackjack and win 3:2 odds on your bet automatically unless the dealer draws Blackjack as well causing a tie or a "Push." In the case of a tie, no money is won or lost. An Ace can count as either 1 or 11. The cards from 2 through 9 are valued as indicated. Hit - if you are not satisfied with your current total you can ask the dealer to hit you which means he deals you another card in addition to your two. You are hit until you are satisfied with your total, or until you bust.
