Blackjack Rules

The game became known as Blackjack because if a player held a Jack of Spades and an Ace of Spades as the 1st two cards, the player was paid out extra. The blackjack table seats 1 to 7 players and each player has a betting square printed in front of them on the felt and each table will have a minimum bet which you should check before sitting down. In the case of a tie, no money is won or lost. You win if your hand is closer to 21 than the dealer's hand. An Ace can count as either 1 or 11. The cards from 2 through 9 are valued as indicated. The 10, Jack, Queen, and King are all valued at 10. Split - if your starting hand contains two cards of the same type (i.e. two 9's) you can split them up into two new hands.
